Welcome to Library and storytime! My name is Ms. Mancini and I am the Librarian for both Robertson School and Captain hunt Early Learning Center. I have been teaching in Central Falls since September 2009. I am looking forward to working with your children this year!
This year in both preschool and kindergarten we will be exploring books, authors, illustrators, fiction and non-fiction, and how a library works. We will listen to exciting stories every week and engage in book related activities and games to help retell the story. We'll even play and explore together during center time!
Play is important to healthy brain development. It helps children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Through center time children engage and interact in the world around them.
Your child’s homework is to share the story they’ve read in class with the whole family, so don’t forget to ask your child, “What happened in Library today?”
Check out the Library’s blog to stay up-to-date with what your child is learning in the Library.
