This month we read "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything" by Linda D. Williams, "The Very Busy Spider" by Eric Carle, "Skeleton Hiccups" by Margery Cuyler, "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" by Joe Troiano, and "Froggy's Halloween" by Jonathan London.
We worked on sequencing the stories using details from the book and coming up with solutions to solve the problems of the characters in the stories.
This month we learned: why farmers need scarecrows; all about spiders and their 8 legs; skeletons and x-rays (not the scary kind, but the skeleton we have under our skin); we discussed shapes that roll and those that don't; and we learned about the season of Fall/Autumn.
