We’ve read many different versions of the gingerbread man...he’s been a cowboy, a bear, a ninja, a gordita, even a gingerbread girl!
We’ve been having discussions about why the gingerbread cookie never wanted to swim across the river. We did science experiments to learn what happens when a cookie gets wet! It’s pretty gross! We also tried to build a structure like a bridge, boat, airplane, or a house to help our gingerbread cookies stay safe.
In preschool we have also been experimenting with slime! We’re learning how to follow a recipe and how to measure the ingredients. It was really icky but fun! Look at the slimey trees we made!
In December we also celebrate Computer Science Week amd the Hour of Code. We worked with real robots to learn how to program them to do what we want them to do. We learned about problem solving and giving directions by speaking the computer’s language! We even used the Cubetto robots to help the Gingerbread Man get away safely!
December is almost over and we’ve still got lots to do before vacation. I hope that all of our friends and families have a safe and joyful holiday!
