This week in Pre-school Library we went on a leaf hunt! We climbed a tall mountain, walked through a dark forest, crossed a waterfall, and paddled across a cold lake and it all happened in a book! We read "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt" by Steve Metzger and then pretended we were trees changing from Spring to Autumn and losing all of our leaves. In centers we used stamps to decorate our colorful trees.
On Tuesday Library combined with Art to make footprint turkeys! First we painted our foot and then made a footprint on paper…this will be the turkey's body. Then we used colorful paint and made feathers to glue the body on. Next week we'll put it all together…just in time to bring home for Thanksgiving! Thank you Ms. J for letting us make such a fun project!
